Bookings now open for National Security seminars

SEMINAR ONE – “National Security: The New Landscape” will investigate the political, philosophical and legal framework in which national security legislation has been introduced to address:

  • Data Retention
  • Telco Interception
  • Intelligence and Security
  • Whistle blowers

How do such measures sit against our modern democratic commitments to free speech, media freedom and individual privacy? The analysis will include a look at the technology involved in the implementing these laws and how the same issues have been addressed in other jurisdictions.

  • Privacy

It will look at the difficulties confronting reformers and lawmakers in this area.
